Our fine 14th Century Church with its tall spire is the first thing you will see approaching Olney from the South (Newport Pagnell). We are an Anglican Parish in the deanery of Newport Pagnell and we have a range of worship services, groups and activities for families and children.
We host the world famous Olney Pancake Race, run every Shrove Tuesday, and followed by the Shriving Service. We also host other events and occasional concerts throughout the year.
John Newton, who wrote the famous hymn 'Amazing Grace' while at Olney is buried in our churchyard. The hymn was written for a New Year's Day service on January 1st 1773. Other historical figures associated with our church are the organist and composer Henry Gauntlett and the biblical commentator Thomas Scott.
Our Bells were refurbished and added to a few years ago, making one of the finest peals of ten bells in the country.
